The conference entitled “A world without walls 2014” in Berlin

As part of celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall the Conference on Cultural Diplomacy organized by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy and other leading organizations was held on the 7th to 10th November 2014 in Berlin. The aim of the conference was to emphasize great changes that have happened as a result of the fall of the wall with reference to international relations, economy, building peace, human rights, culture and art. During the event one could take part in lectures and discussions.

The conference attracted over 300 world leaders of politics and religion, coming from all corners of the world. Among speakers were Professor Dr. Álvaro Escribano – the Vice Chancellor of the Carlos III University in Madrid, Judge Göran Lambertz – the judge of the Supreme Court of Sweden, President Vicente Fox – the 55th President of Mexico, President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero – the former Prime Minister of Spain, President Josip Leko – the speaker of the Croatian parliament.

Among many eminent persons of this world Poland also had its representative in the person of Jan Lubomirski – Lanckoroński, the President of the Princes Lubomirski Foundation, who made a speech on "The success of peaceful transformations in Europe", which received a warm reception by the participants of the conference.
