The Princes Lubomirski Foundation supports Polish monuments

On the 22-23 March of 2012 at the Kubicki Arcades, the Royal Castle in Warsaw, an all-Poland conference “Chance for monuments 2012” was held, organized by the Mazovian Regional Monuments Conservator and EwidencjaZabytkow.pl.

Honorary Patronage of the event was taken by supreme state policy makers – the President of the Republic of Poland – Bronisław Komorowski, the Governor of Mazowieckie – Jacek Kozłowski, the Marshal of Mazowieckie Voivodship – Adam Struzik and the Director of the National Heritage Board of Poland – Paulina Florianowicz. Thus, the conference went under the supervision of the persons who have the greatest influence on decisions concerning the protection of monuments throughout the whole country.

The Princes Lubomirski Foundation, whose president is Jan Lubomirski-Lanckoroński, was a key partner of an all-Poland conference “Chance for monuments 2012”. One of important activities of the organisation is the continuation of more than five hundred year history of the family related to construction, reconstruction and renovation of the most brilliant Polish buildings. The foundation supports, among others renovations of the castle and the monastery church in Wiśnicz as well as the Wilanów Palace Museum’s initiatives.

Nearly 150 guests attended the conference, among others representatives of the state and self-government authorities, persons from the world of science, culture and business. Among the guests invited were: Bogdan Zdrojewski (the Minister of Culture and National Heritage), Hanna Gronkiewicz - Waltz (the President of the Capital City of Warsaw), Ewa Nekanda - Trepka (Warsaw Monuments Conservator), Jan Lubomirski - Lanckoroński (the President of the Princes Lubomirski Foundation) with his Wife Dominika Kulczyk – Lubomirska, Rafał Nadolny (the Mazovian Regional Monuments Conservator) and many others.

The “Chance for monuments 2012” conference gives participants the opportunity to show their own projects and plan the protection of works important for all Poles. It is a platform for exchanging experience, knowledge and valuable solutions which have an impact on the preservation of the National Heritage. It is finally an opportunity to learn and unofficial talks among people whose passion is historic architecture. Organisers believe that the new undertaking will become an inherent part of all-Poland events, which will allow us to get to know practical, concrete solutions.
